A documentary film chronicling corruption in family courts throughout the United States is now available for viewing to 65 million Netflix subscribers.

Divorce Corp, directed by Joseph Sorge and starring a long list of attorneys, judges, family court mediators, whistleblowers, and litigants has just been released on the Netflix on-demand Internet streaming media service.

The film catalogs corruption, conflicts of interest and other scandals in superior courts in several California counties, including Sacramento, Los Angeles and Nevada County.

The movie features an interview with former court employee turned whistleblower Emily Gallup, who inadvertently discovered that the Judicial Council provides no oversight or accountability of even flagrant lawbreaking by court employees in California. Gallup also learned that whistleblowers are frowned upon by court administrators: In retaliation for her whistleblowing, her supervisors orchestrated her termination. Gallup subsequently won a wrongful termination lawsuit against the court.

Judicial Branch whistleblowers allege that attorneys and
judges in Sacramento County operate a racketeering enterprise
that deprives the public of the federally protected right to
honest government services.

Sacramento Family Court News, an online, nonprofit journalism organization has published an investigation into allegations of judge-attorney collusion and child abduction in Sacramento Superior Court.

The report indicates that Sacramento County Judge Thadd Blizzard effectively aided and abetted an out-of-state criminal child abduction by the client of a divorce attorney who also works as a part-time judge in the same court.

The case is the second report of a confirmed child abduction aided and abetted by a judge in the county. Previously, Judge Matthew Gary aided and abetted a client criminal child abduction for the law partner of an attorney who works as a temporary judge.

Judicial Council Chair Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye formerly was a Sacramento Superior Court judge, and court watchdogs charge that she has directed Judicial Council staff to disregard the alleged criminal conduct by her former colleagues.

The Center for Judicial Excellence, a Marin-based family court reform organization, has initiated a "Year of Action to Stop Court Crimes" campaign throughout California.

Evidence of alleged criminal activity by Sacramento Superior Court judges, employees, and part-time judges who also work as for-profit divorce lawyers will be presented by court watchdogs and whistleblowers at a Judicial Council meeting in Sacramento on Thursday, February 19. The presentation is a component of the "Stop Court Crimes" campaign sponsored by the Center for Judicial Excellence, a Marin-based family court reform organization.

The statewide CJE "Year of Action to Stop Court Crimes" campaign kicked-off in September with a rally at the Judicial Council in San Francisco, and is slated to run throughout 2015. Family court watchdogs from 16 California counties attended, including a strong Sacramento County contingent. The event generated press coverage by the San Francisco Examiner.

In addition to the rally, the group made a formal, written request for an audience with the Chair of the Judicial Council to present evidence and discuss alleged criminal activity and other misconduct by family court judges and employees throughout the state. The request was denied, and the group was directed to express their concerns at the public comment segment provided at regularly scheduled Judicial Council meetings.
